10 years at Churchill Square
Where it all began
Lucy was just a teenager when she first started her business and a lot has changed since: ‘I set up at David Lloyds at Kings Hill; when the spa shut down another company came in and they didn’t have a rentable space. I went to my mum’s and I was operating from her spare bedroom, but I was always looking for a ground-floor office. In 2008, I saw an opportunity to rent a space at Churchill Square and was immediately attracted by the environment, space and freedom to run my own business.’
She moved into Building 70 and has enjoyed the last decade here: ‘Whilst I’ve been here I’ve been able to grow my clients base a lot, mainly through word-of-mouth referrals. It felt like I was working with other people, even though I wasn’t. I’ve really enjoyed my time here and things like drinks at Christmas are nice little touches.’
How we’ve helped
Lucy has enjoyed a lot of the benefits that come with our business accommodation, including our flexible easy-in, easy-out contracts: ‘If I wanted to grow, I could move offices and if anything ever went wrong, I could just give a month’s notice. I’ve also really enjoyed the benefits of having the telephone answering system and the mail collection services.’
It’s been lovely having Lucy stay with us for so long and that she’s enjoyed her time at Churchill Square Kings Hill Business Centre.
