Success for local Croydon branch of south east accountancy firm
For various businesses, sometimes having a local branch that can provide an honest full-service accounting and business advisory service is far more personal and efficient than a hard to reach big firm. Siva Ranjan has successfully set up an all-inclusive accountancy and business management service in his Croydon branch of BBK Partnership, and shares how he has achieved growth from 0 to over 200 clients since he founded it in 2010
Growing a local business
For Siva, the chance to create a local business came at a good time. Living near Croydon, he didn’t want to commute far, so he decided to open a local branch, now based in our Capital Business Centre, where he is highly reputable for his excellent expertise and high quality service he provides. He explained how he has achieved his success so far:
‘Good communication, transparency, high standards of service and support to all our clients is the pinnacle of how I run my business. I ensure there is always someone at the other end of the line at any time of the day.
“We ensure we respond to all our clients within 24 hours as they contact us. They not only have the numbers for the office, but they even have my personal mobile number, as I believe communication is everything”.
Another stand-out feature of BBK’s strong customer service ethic is a willingness to explore various methods of tax and cost savings for the business even things are going smoothly for the clients.
Siva is also a firm believer that reconciliation is the foundation to good practice. So when a new client joins the firm, all balance sheet items are reconciled regularly .” This prevents discrepancies, fraud, ensures consistency and sustains a regular business growth forecast.
Why does Capital Business Centre in Croydon suit an accountancy business so well?
As the space a business needs might depend upon general market conditions, Siva explained that Capital Space was an “obvious choice” because of the flexibility of our licences. He explained “The easy terms – so if we want to leave, we can just give a month’s notice – were an attraction.”
But Capital Business Centre at Croydon has some other advantages that appealed to Siva, including parking and hospitality. “The main attraction was the parking, as most serviced officers don’t have parking. Capital Space offers parking not just for myself and staff, but also clients. The cafe is a big attraction for me and I have lunch there every day.”
As a service business, Siva also values being cared for as a client himself. He says of the Capital Space staff: “The reception team is always friendly, courteous and professional so I have no complaints at all.”
With expansion on the cards, we are looking forward to seeing BBK Partnership’s Croydon branch continue to grow.
