A calm, secure workspace for a local counselling business to thrive
Whether you are a young entrepreneur just starting up a business, an employee creating a new branch of a bigger company or a business owner who has changed your career direction and is looking to step into something new, Capital Space can help. We are always happy to do what we can to accommodate and support our customers, with a space to suit the needs of their business.
In our latest customer case study, we spoke with Victoria Nobes who has set up her counselling service in our Churchill Square Business Centre in Kings Hill. Following a career change in her late forties, Victoria trained for a diploma in therapeutic counselling, after deciding that she wanted to help and support people using her own personal life experiences.
A counselling practice with the ethos of helping people
After her training, and working with Mid Kent Mind, Victoria decided to branch out on her own and, with the help of a mentor, started working in one of our offices, from which she offers counselling tailored to people with a range of difficulties. She says, “This is something that I really enjoy. But to be perfectly honest, I don’t necessarily specialise in one area. I use a variety of different techniques dependent on the particular client’s needs, and would never turn somebody away but if I’m unable to help them, then I will always find somebody to refer them to.”
Finding the perfect office space for a counselling practice
Victoria shared that, as a business offering counselling, finding a place to work from which offered her clients a calm, safe space was vital to her success:
“As soon as I came here, I knew that this was where I wanted to be,” Victoria recalls. “I’d seen so many different premises, but they were not intimate enough or safe enough. Here at Kings Hill is definitely the right place for me.”
Benefits of the serviced office space for talking therapy
Here’s how Capital Space offered the ideal workspace for Victoria:
- Safety and security: “Being on my own and working late, I needed to make sure it was a safe place. The fact that anyone can’t just stroll in is really important. It’s so safe here, so secure.”
- Supportive community: “Everyone respects each other’s space here and as its so quiet, its exactly what I need.”
- A suitable setting for counselling: “The view is really lovely for my clients, the room is just a very peaceful, calm, grounding place.”
- Professional environment: “It’s great having the intercom system, and the team nearby who are so supportive. If I need help, they’re there.”
