Creating new business opportunities in challenging times
Setting up at Churchill Square
Having traded from Churchill Square Business Centre six years previously, Kings Hill Beauty owner, Caroline Bridger already knew that all the services her business would need to resume would be readily available. The dynamic duo is now progressively rebuilding their client base from their new premises.
“The pressure and constant targets to bring in the money to meet our basic overheads at Liberty Square took the fun out of it all, which is why coming back to Churchill Square has been such a blessing. We are working because we love it – not because we must. It has also enabled me to improve my work/life balance, which is another bonus,” says Caroline.
“Churchill Square gives us that flexibility to keep our businesses linked but separate, using different office spaces for ultimate professionalism!”
Adapting to Covid-19 demands
Ensuring client safety is now the top priority for many businesses around the UK, as well as having the appropriate space to provide it. For Kings Hill Beauty, this has included the use of medical-grade cleaners, the free provision of masks and sanitisers, appointment-only bookings and a no guest policy that they have been able to put in place at their Church Square Business Centre suites.
“We have the most amazing clients who have been so adaptable and supportive throughout this difficult time,” Caroline says. “Business certainly isn’t anywhere near the ‘good old days’, but we continue to chase our dreams. The last year has seen us focusing on delivering the best treatments we can with the best service possible.”
Evaluating business performance
Despite the challenges faced, there’s no stopping this ambitious pair! Having taken stock of their goals and with new options available to expand into additional workspace at the Business Centre, Caroline and Carla even launched a sister business in Spring from an additional suite: Kings Hill Spray Tans.
“At times I feel cheated over losing the big salon and everything I’d worked towards,” Caroline says. “But they say everything happens for a reason and I am now happier than ever!”
“We are so proud that we were able to open an additional suite and we’re even looking to have a Beauty Academy in 2022. It’s great that we were able to take a challenging year and turn it into something positive!”
We’re very impressed with how our customer has been able to use this time to turn their business around and thrive during this challenging time. We look forward to supporting their growth in the next year and beyond.
