Finding the perfect space to create the right environment for your clients
One of our Harlow customers is a prime example of a company that has very specific requirements to create the right environment for its clients. The My World Therapy practice at Greenway Business Centre provides Occupational Therapy for children with a range of complex special needs. Founder Anna Hamlet has been sharing with us how Capital Space’s facilities enable My World Therapy to offer an environment to help children reach their potential.
Providing high quality Occupational Therapy with My World Therapy
After having worked in the NHS, Occupational Therapist, Anna Hamlet set up My World Therapy in 2017 for Autistic children and children with diagnosis of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Developmental Coordination Disorder/Dyspraxia and Developmental Delay, with a mission to provide individualised, timely, highly specialist, and up to date independent Occupational Therapy .
Children travel to the My World Therapy practice from a large geographical area to access highly specialist Occupational Therapy assessments and follow up therapy. Occupational Therapists at My World Therapy help parents and school staff to understand a child’s unique sensory and physical strengths and needs. They provide easy-to-implement recommendations that can be put into place straight away by parents and education staff, as well as providing evidence needed for a child to get much-needed support and funding from the Local Authority and NHS.
Anna and her Occupational Therapist colleagues at My World Therapy try to understand the world from the child’s perspective and to identify what motivates and drives them. They ensure that therapy is fun as well as providing children with as much support as possible, working closely with their parents.
Anna aims for My World Therapy to provide the high-quality service she would want for her own children. She recruits highly experienced Occupational Therapists; all of her staff have over 20 years’ experience as well as extensive post graduate training.

Anna explained that My World Therapy had very specific requirements when it came to finding the perfect working space. Autistic children need a ‘sensory friendly’ environment which is quiet and visually uncluttered. As most commercial properties are either designed for retail, office or industrial purposes, they are far from ideal for the children supported by My World Therapy. Having parking nearby is also essential for families.
The flexibility and range of spaces that Capital Space offers were perfect for Anna’s business: “The quiet environment, ground-floor unit and plentiful free parking drew us to the space. The ‘sensory friendly’ and ‘family friendly’ aspects of the Capital Space unit reduce anxiety for children and families visiting the My World Therapy practice.”
