New customer taking global companies to the next level from Milton Keynes
For many, the pandemic was a wakeup call that drove them to start their own companies. Sharon Boyd, who had previously worked in the aviation industry whilst also studying for an MBA, decided it was time to follow her passion and set up MKL CX, a leadership and customer experience training and consultancy firm. She shared her story and explained why Milton Keynes Business Centre was the perfect place for her new office.
What is leadership and customer experience training all about?
As someone who has always been very customer driven, Sharon realised that for many companies, the customer experience is not always a top-level focus. So she set up MKL CX with the aim to bring customer experience to the top of the agenda and demonstrate how it can lead to significant financial gains.
Sharon, who has delivered training for a range of industries and large-scale organisations, such as BT, HM Prison Service, Lotus, Ovo Energy and Autoglass explained:
“We help others who are typically more commercially driven to see the value in the customer aspect and to, instead of being very process driven, see some of the shades of grey. We show leadership teams that people centric experiences and the way you make your customers feel, creates real loyalty which has been repeatedly proven to add to the bottom line. We demonstrate that if you manage a situation in the right way, a very human way, you can turn a customer who has had a really horrific experience with you into an incredible advocate for you. Quite often people don’t realise that which is a shame, as that customer recovery piece is incredibly powerful and can be a real differentiator. It’s what sets apart very successful companies from the mediocre.”

Sharon said that, having looked around a different office spaces in Milton Keynes, she was drawn to Capital Space because our team members made her feel so welcome.
“Being tuned into the customer experience, the Milton Keynes team really impressed me. I felt like they connected with me on a personal level, learning my name so quickly and going above and beyond to help out. They repainted the office in my brand colours as they were repainting anyway. I just dropped round a can of paint. Then Matt put up my screen which I use for training. He didn’t need to do it, but it made my life so much easier. But the highlight has to be the welcome board on the big sign outside saying ‘Welcome MKL CX’ which really brought a smile to my face. The team just bends over backwards to help out and that makes all the difference.”
