After umming and ahh-ing about starting her own bespoke body sculpting and contouring business for years, our Churchill Square Business Centre customer has one piece of advice for other potential business owners.
Body enhancement with a difference
When it comes to shedding stubborn fat, lifting your bum or reducing your cellulite, your first thoughts may turn to expensive and invasive surgical procedures, reserved only for those with millions in the bank (and are daring enough to face the knife!) But our customer in Kings Hill is proving that you don’t need to undergo surgical procedures to enhance your body, utilising her bespoke body contouring techniques to get rid of fat, cellulite and even reduce scars and stretch marks.
Utilising just one treatment, Sculpt and Shape, based at Churchill Square Business Centre, are already helping their clients find new body confidence. Proprietor and Head Practitioner, Stephanie Gorman, explained: “It works by ultrasound waves that go into the fat cells, causing them to vibrate and turn into liquid. The liquified fat then gets flushed out via your body’s lymphatic draining system.
“Everyone will get a result after just one treatment; it just depends how long your body takes to get rid of the fat. Some people get their desired result straight away, whereas it can take multiple sessions for other people – it really depends, as everyone is different!”
The non-invasive treatment, utilised by Stephanie at Sculpt and Shape, gives her clients long-lasting and proven results — so long as they keep to a healthier lifestyle and don’t subsequently gain even more weight in the future.
Finally deciding to set up a business
From Sculpt and Shape’s impressive catalogue of before and after images, you’d be forgiven for assuming that the company was established years ago. In fact, it wasn’t until April this year that Stephanie finally decided to properly set up the company.
“I ummed and ahh-ed about doing this for far too long,” explains Stephanie. “If I’ve learnt anything, it’s that you should definitely just go for it. I do not regret a thing — it’s been hard work and there have been a few worrying moments, but I’m doing something that I genuinely love and that I’m passionate about!
“I’ve seen a few clients change their lives. They feel so confident and have been able to do things, like join a gym for the first time afterwards, with their newfound confidence. I get to see my customers leave happy and more confident and that means so much… I really can’t ask for anything more than that! If it’s your passion, go for it. It will work as far as you love it; I wish I’d done this a year or two ago.”
Finding the perfect office space
After outgrowing her home facilities, Stephanie decided it was time to look for a formal office space that she could dedicate to developing her business.
“There are lots of other offices that I’m aware of in Kings Hill, but the location of the Churchill Square Business Centre is perfect for me as it’s so central.
“There are also great opportunities for networking at Capital Space and the community feel is perfect. I love the flexibility that they offer. If I expand and become hugely successful, I can move to a bigger office – or a smaller one – all without leaving Churchill Square. From a personal note, when I first looked around, the staff were friendly and helped me through those initial nerves about taking the plunge into getting a proper office. They took me through how to set up and were always on hand to advise and answer any questions I had. I can’t fault them — the way Capital Space communicate is brilliant.’
Looking to the future
Stephanie has ambitious plans for her company, including new treatments, more machines and additional staff, to offer greater availability to her clients. With a plan to offer her customers’ further options for non-surgical and non-invasive treatments, Stephanie will keep sharing her passion: enabling women to sculpt and shape their body for just a fraction of the price and without a visit to the surgeon!
