Local business centres serving local business owners
We periodically conduct customer sector reports to find out more about the demographics of our residents so we can serve them better.
New data shows that our mission to support local businesses has been successful and many love having serviced workspaces on their doorstep. However, convenient locations, and access to major travel infrastructure makes the commute easy for those coming from slightly further afield as well.
Read on to learn what attracts our residents to our business centres.
Capital Business Centre, Croydon
At just 1.5 miles south of central Croydon, with free parking and easy access to local train services to London and Croydon town centre, it is not surprising that a massive 75% of the business owners in Capital Business Centre live within five miles of the site, and over 50% live within just four. Many of our business owners commute to our workspaces from neighbouring towns such as Sanderstead, Selsdon, Shirley Oaks, Purley, Shirley Park, Beddington, Addington, Coulsdon, Norbury and Warlingham.
Our Croydon offices are hugely popular for business owners who want all the benefits of the capital without compromising on local luxuries such as access to nature and a sense of community.
At our Croydon business centre, we offer a wide range of workspaces such as workshops, offices, and suites. So it’s a great option for businesses that offer a range of different goods and services.
Waterhouse Business Centre, Chelmsford
Waterhouse Business Centre is just a few kilometres out of Chelmsford’s bustling city centre. Many of our resident business owners live in Chelmsford and its surrounding Essex towns.
We discovered that 39% of Waterhouse residents travel from within a five-mile radius, living in towns such as Springfield, Galleyend, Writtle, Crix and Broomfield.
Easy connections to major roads such as the A414 makes Waterhouse appealing to business owners who commute from Latchingdon, Colchester, Hornchurch, Maldon, Basildon, Dunmow, and Wickford.
Loughton Seedbed Centre
Almost 40% of our customers commute up to four miles away from our business centre in Loughton making it a truly local workspace provider.
Located clo
se to Junction 5 of the M11, the Seedbed Centre is a great, easily accessible out-of-town option for many local business owners and SMEs from a wide range of areas including Enfield, Ilford, and Forest Way.
Milton Keynes Business Centre
Almost half of our business owners live within a five-mile radius of our Milton Keynes Business Centre. We see people coming in from Great Linford, Stony Stratford, Monkston, Furzton and Ashland.
However, it is not surprising that many residents of our Milton Keynes office are happy to travel from slightly further afield. Situated just off the M1, the business park boasts all the benefits of good connections, whilst being nestled in amongst the bluebells of Linford Wood, just behind the café. Residents also love to unwind with a leisurely walk to Milton Keynes town centre. All this has seen SMEs commuting from Towcester, Aylesbury, Bletchley, Olney, and Bedford.
Greenway Business Centre, Harlow
Our business centre in Harlow appeals to SMEs from a wide area around Harlow and beyond but over one third of our customers commute from within five miles of our workspace. However, with great connections to the M11 and the A414, the Greenway Business Centre also appeals to business owners from areas such as Bishop’s Stortford, Enfield, Waltham Abbey, Chelmsford and Kingsmoor.
St George’s Business Park, Sittingbourne
Just outside the new and improved town centre, is our Sittingbourne business park. Almost half of the St George’s customers reside in the local area, with the benefit of easy access to Milton Creek Country Park, where they can enjoy time with their children, in nature or appreciate the park’s art installations.
The other half of our Sittingbourne customers travel slightly further. Good connections to the A249 for the M2 and M20, makes it easy for business owners from areas such as Maidstone, Rainham, Boxley, Faversham and Gillingham to commute each day.
Our research shows that we truly do support local. This is all part of our mission to create communities within our business centres and within the communities that love us back.
