Almost £4000 donated to charities thanks to our small businesses
Earlier this year, we gave an update about the charities that we support across our business centres at Capital Space. The Christmas and New Year period is a notoriously tough time for the charity sector and the people it supports, so we were proud to have raised more than £2,000. Fast forward to September and we are pleased to announce that our wonderful customers and partners have continued to support these charities.
Our nominated charities
In total, our South East business centres have raised just over £3,700 since the start of 2022. Each centre has a nominated local charity that they work closely with – read more below:
Milton Keynes Business Centre
Milton Keynes support their local National Animal Welfare Trust in Bedfordshire. The trust has been helping animals and owners for fifty years in their beautiful Aspley Guise location. Milton Keynes Business Centre has raised £450 for the National Animal Welfare Trust in 2022.
Waterhouse Business Centre
Farleigh Hospice in Chelmsford provides care to people with life-limiting illnesses across mid Essex. Established in 1982, the hospice has grown their team of healthcare professionals to support the wider community. Farleigh House has received £944 from the team at Waterhouse this year.
Harlow Business Centre
The Essex & Herts Air Ambulance is being supported by the customers and staff at Harlow this year. The life-saving service has been running in Essex since 1997 and expanded into Hertfordshire ten years later. Harlow Business Centre has raised £550 for the service this year.
Capital Business Centre
Our Croydon site supports Croydon Nightwatch, a homeless charity that acts as the first contact point for rough sleepers and directs them to further help and support. A total of £890 was raised by the centre.
Churchill Square Business Centre
Our Kings Hill customers have been incredibly active with supporting their two charities who work in conjunction. Abigail’s Footsteps provides invaluable support for bereaved parents and families and Slide Away supports siblings who are affected by stillbirth or neonatal death. Churchill Square has raised £970 for both charities.
It’s always rewarding to see the generosity of our customers and staff teams at our business centres. We’re incredibly proud of the support they provide to the vital initiatives, trusts and charities.
