Churchill Square Business Centre’s new maternity cover deputy centre manager
Our people make us who we are at Capital Space. It’s our team members who create a supportive, welcoming, friendly atmosphere for our customers, from the minute they walk through the doors of our business centres. We are delighted to announce a new addition to the Churchill Square Business Centre team: Donna Lucas, who will be the maternity cover for Natalie George, the deputy centre manager. We spoke with Donna to find out more about what drives her and why she’s excited about her new role.
Meet your new deputy centre manager
Before joining us at the Churchill Square Business Centre, in Kings Hill, Donna has done a variety of roles. She has worked as a domestic lettings agent and a Weight Watchers leader. She’s also had jobs in customer service and complaints teams for banks and small retail companies, as well as experience in sales, coaching and training teams. The breadth of her experience stands her in good stead in her new customer-facing role at Capital Space Ltd.
“The team is fantastic, and I am looking forward to getting to grips with things and bringing my experience into the office,” said Donna.
A job to support long term business ambitions
The job attracted Donna because it is a one-year contract. She hopes it will enable her to make some savings to fulfil her ambition of becoming a business owner. “In the future, I want to set up my own business delivering vegan dog food and dog treats.” With her entrepreneurial streak, we are happy to hear Donna might be able to connect with our customers, who like her are chasing ambitions and are setting up their own businesses.
In her spare time…
Donna enjoys spending time with her family, is a member of a local choir and is currently refurbishing a 1930s former Swedish freight boat in Hoo, Rochester, where she lives with her husband, three dogs and one of her three children.
She says she enjoys the peace and quiet of living on her 125ft long floating home, which features six bedrooms, three bathrooms, two kitchens, two lounges and a bar called The Wheelhouse. Although she admits renovation is still a “work in progress”, Donna said: “I wouldn’t change it for the world.”
Donna has already been getting her feet firmly under the table since joining us and we have no doubt she will provide our customers with the friendly support which makes our Capital Space centres such a welcoming environment.
