Milton Keynes Business Centre scoops two awards
The dedication and service excellence of the team that runs Milton Keynes Business Centre were recognised when they won two titles at the SME MK and Buckinghamshire Business Awards 2025, taking Gold in the Business of the Year (Less than 50 Employees) category and Silver for MK Best Enterprising Business. The gala evening was made even sweeter as we were also able to celebrate award wins for two of our customers as well.
Gold and silver recognition for the whole business centre team
Although newly promoted Senior Centre Manager Matt Roberts has previously judged the SME MK and Buckinghamshire Business Awards, and Capital Space has sponsored the awards, we had never entered them before. But with recent investments in the Milton Keynes Business Centre, we felt that the ninth annual awards were the ones to go for.
We were delighted when we were shortlisted for three categories – Business of the Year (Less than 50 Employees), Business of the Year and MK Best Enterprising Business – especially given the calibre of the entries from the strong SME business community in Milton Keynes.
To take both a Gold and a Silver award was an incredible honour, which Matt, together with business support coordinators Hayley and Roxanne, and deputy centre manager (maternity contract) Katie, was thrilled to celebrate at the gala event at the Double-Tree by Hilton Hotel in Milton Keynes.
Matt said: “To win one award was fantastic, but to win two is more than we ever could have dreamed of. We are over the moon – our success would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of the entire team at Milton Keynes Business Centre.”
Environmental commitments, innovation and excellent customer service recognised
There were a number of factors that contributed to the award success of Milton Keynes Business Centre. Key among them were:
- Environmental investments: Such as our award-winning Woodside Café, which uses a range of clean technologies. Our investment in low-energy, low-impact solutions helps reduce the carbon footprint of our customers as well as the business centre itself
- Innovation: Our constant evolution in response to changing customer needs, including introducing new onsite storage solutions and upcoming dual-use mezzanine units
- Community involvement: As evidenced by our support over the years for a number of Milton Keynes charities
- Service excellence: Our range of business support services structured to make the lives of our SME customers easier, together with the exceptional customer support offered by the business centre team, has led to strong Google reviews and a loyal client base.
Business centre customers celebrate award success
With 20 awards given to stand out SMEs and start-ups, it was not a surprise for the Milton Keynes Business Centre team to see some familiar faces among the other finalists.
We were delighted to be able to cheer when Hexagon Recruitment Partners were named Best New Business. Specialising in transport and logistics recruitment, their focus on customer service has earnt them 5* Google reviews.
