New beginnings at Capital Space as we say goodbye to familiar faces
As we settle into 2025, we find ourselves saying heartfelt farewells to long-standing members of our team and welcoming new ones.
A fond farewell to Sandra Wood
After 14 remarkable years, Sandra Wood, one of our esteemed Business Support Coordinators at Churchill Square Business Centre, will be retiring. Sandra has been an integral part of the team, bringing warmth, professionalism, and unwavering dedication to her role.
Centre Manager Toni Wilkinson said: “It is with sadness, and warm wishes that we announce Sandra Wood, a cornerstone of the Churchill Square Business Centre team for the past 14 years, will be retiring. Sandra’s dedication, warmth, and professionalism have made a great impact on our team and everyone she has worked with. While we are sad to see her go, we are excited for her as she embarks on a new chapter, which is to retire in Australia to be closer to her son and grandchildren.”
Sandra plans to move to Warners Bay, which is situated on beautiful Lake Macquarie in New South Wales, two hours north of Sydney. “My son wants me to be part of their lives and for them to have memories of me.” She is currently applying for a visa and says the move is “quite scary but exciting.”
Helen Bush retires from St George’s
Meanwhile, over at St George’s in Sittingbourne, we are bidding farewell to Helen Bush, another of our valued Business Support Coordinators, who will retire after 17 years of exceptional service. Helen has decided to step away from the workplace to enjoy more time with her family and to care for her father, who has Alzheimer’s.
She expressed how she will miss her boss and the customers: “I have invested a lot of time at the centre, and I will miss the customers and I am very grateful for Peter. He has been a really good boss.”
Her dedication and contribution to St George’s have been outstanding, and her presence will undoubtedly be missed by staff and customers alike. We wish Helen all the very best in her retirement.
A new chapter for Mark Gladden
As part of these changes, we also said goodbye to Mark Gladden, our Facilities Handyperson at Churchill Square. Mark left at the end of last year, to pursue a new opportunity. We thank Mark for his hard work and contributions and wish him success in his next role. A replacement for Mark will be announced soon.
2025 marks a new beginning
These changes highlight the importance of each individual who contributes to the success of Capital Space. As we move forward, we remain committed to providing exceptional service to our customers, and we are confident that our new team members will help us uphold these values.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Sandra, Helen, and Mark for their years of dedication and wish them the very best in their future endeavours. At the same time, we are excited to see who will come to join the team.
