Capital Space supports Milton Keynes Business Awards
At Capital Space, we are always championing our customers’ businesses and supporting their success however we can. So it was once again a pleasure to be involved in the SME Milton Keynes and Buckinghamshire Business Awards this June, local to our Milton Keynes Business Centre. The centre’s staff members attended to judge and present the awards. Here’s our round-up of the fabulous night.
The glittering black tie event at the Double Tree Hilton Hotel in Milton Keynes was packed to the rafters with small businesses from the region all vying to scoop up prestigious prizes. Milton Keynes Business Centre’s manager, Matt Roberts, attended the event with his deputy Thuane Baroni, business support coordinator Hayley Rance and Churchill Square Business Centre’s manager Toni Wilkinson.
And the SME awards go to…
With Capital Space Ltd sponsoring the Business of the Year category, it was down to Matt to do the honours of presenting a gold award to WAAM3D, a company which specialises in state-of-the-art Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing. The silver award went to D.O.T.S Chiropractic which provide care to everyone from children and athletes to office workers and pregnant women.
Supporting Milton Keynes’ community of SMEs
Matt said: “This is our fourth year of sponsoring and judging the awards. It’s always a privilege to oversee the entry submissions from thriving local businesses and this year, the competition was fierce. As always, the night was masses of fun, there was a lot of excitement in the room and it was fantastic to hand out the Business of the Year gold and silver awards to two very deserving companies.”
We even managed to encourage one of the guests seeking workspace to come and view the centre the following day – and they subsequently signed up to one of our vacant offices!
We were also delighted to see that the fundraising from the silent auction during the event went to popular local charity and our very own Milton Keynes Business Centre customer Harry’s Rainbow, which supports bereaved children.
