MK business centre manager Matt Roberts wins prestigious national business award

At Capital Space, we take pride in celebrating both our staff and customers’ achievements. Which is why we were excited when Matt Roberts, Centre Manager at Milton Keynes Business Centre, was not only invited to present the SME National Business 2024 Awards but also won a Silver Business Leader award.

Matt has 20 years of experience as a Senior Business Manager, having built a career in hospitality, leisure and commercial property. He has been part of the Capital Space team since 2018. Since he joined us, Milton Keynes Business Centre has become the gold sponsor in 2019 and Matt has judged the SME Milton Keynes and Buckinghamshire Business Awards as well as the SME National Business Awards since 2020.

In 2024, in addition to presenting a Sustainability award at the glittering ceremony in Wembley – a subject that is close to Matt’s heart – Matt was also shortlisted for the Business Leader award, as part of the Large Business category, taking home the Silver award. The award was based on public nominations and votes.

Commenting on his win, he said: “It’s a great sense of achievement and humbling to have your work recognised by others in such a way.”

He added: I hope that it helps to raise awareness of our fantastic centre and the great team we have here supporting our customers. Matt encourages SME’s to apply for awards as they are beneficial in bringing awareness to new customers, as well as showing people your success.

In terms of plans for 2025, Matt said: “I am looking forward to working on our new workshop expansion project as well as continuing to educate myself on sustainable construction methods and new technology that we can introduce to the centre for the benefit of our customers.

We are so proud of Matt for winning this award, as his work at Capital Space deserves to be noticed. He ensures that everything runs smoothly behind the scenes; removing barriers for businesses and streamlining operations so that our clients can focus on what they do best: growing and succeeding.

Matt has been an integral part of the Capital Space team, and we want to congratulate him for winning this award. We are excited to see what else the Milton Keynes centre will continue to achieve under his leadership.
