Regional B2B expo provides opportunity to meet small businesses
The team from Churchill Square Business Centre were among 50 exhibitors at the only regional West Kent business expo. Organised by Invest West Kent, the event in Tonbridge provided an opportunity to network with entrepreneurs and small business owners and managers.
After the success of the inaugural West Kent Expo last year, the organisers decided to hold it again to give local businesses the chance to expand their networks and meet potential clients, suppliers and collaborators. Having attended last year, Churchill Square Business Centre was keen to be among the exhibitors at West Kent Expo 25, held at The River Centre in Tonbridge on 12 March.
Support and advice for small businesses in West Kent
Showcasing and celebrating businesses of West Kent, the event also provided information on business support opportunities, which are a key focus of the three local authorities behind Invest West Kent – Sevenoaks District Council, Tonbridge & Malling Borough Council and Tunbridge Wells Borough Council – in collaboration with Smarter Society.
There were also talks and panel discussions on a number of topics that are pivotal for small business success, including funding for growth, digital marketing and harnessing artificial intelligence, as well as a workshop by Google covering everything from marketing to coding on its Google Digital Garage platform.
Showcasing the professional value of offices, workshops, studios, meeting rooms and virtual offices
Churchill Square Business Centre’s stand showcased our offices as well as our meeting rooms and virtual office packages. The event gave us the opportunity to explain our simple monthly license and how we work in partnership with our workspace customers with everything from business support to investment in environmentally friendly facilities to support their ESG commitments.
We took along some specially branded eco-friendly, reusable coffee cups from Mr Bamboo Cup, which were a big success with visitors to the centre and in line with our sustainable values.
Churchill Square Centre Manager, Toni Wilkinson said: “We believe this business expo is a really worthwhile way to promote Churchill Square, our workspace offering, facilities and services, directly to our target market, which is small business owners. We had a steady stream of visitors to the stand and our coffee cups were a massive hit!”
It was great to make so many new connections and to provide advice on how to choose workspaces that help SMEs achieve their business goals.
